Early mornings are my favorite
time to meander. This image
was a fun catch. Tucson got
an unusually hard frost,
and it glistened everywhere
as the sun appeared
from behind Pusch Ridge
in Northwest Tucson.

I have lived in Arizona since the 1960’s, and I photograph in my “almost home”
state every chance that comes along, often in my back yard acre
in northwest Tucson. I have sighted nearly 100 species of birds there.
One of my recent memorable shoots was with other journalists
in the Kartchner Caverns, before they were opened to the public
two years ago. Copies of my slides were donated to Arizona State Parks,
and I keep the originals for personal use only.
